Trellex BV: innovation in cultivation support worldwide

Simplifying sustainable agriculture with solar-integrated crop covers. Trellex-RE BV empowers European growers with innovative, efficient, and affordable solutions.

Over ons

Director of Trellex BV, Jan-Willem van Giessen, grew up on a strawberry farm, where he developed his work ethic and skills from a young age. After several years of working on the family farm, he decided to take a different path and focused on selling trellis materials for Stilmer, a company based in Poland. Jan-Willem speaks fluent Polish, a language he learned naturally while working alongside the Polish crew on the farm.

As he traveled across Europe selling Stilmer trellis stakes, customers frequently inquired about the possibility of producing larger steel posts in addition to the smaller trellis stakes. After conducting extensive research into all technical aspects, the decision was made to invest in a brand-new roll-forming line in the spring of 2019. Within six months, production was fully operational by autumn 2019 in a modern factory with a dedicated production team.

Since then, Jan-Willem has been actively building a global network of resellers, establishing partnerships in different countries and key growing regions. His tireless dedication to improving crop trellis and protection systems has benefited growers of apples, pears, cherries, and kiwifruit worldwide.
